George lopez yaamava7/20/2023 ![]() ![]() To address your comments, all slot machines pay out according to industry standard at SoCal's No. Thank you for the feedback and for the compliment - we do work hard to have our team trained to deliver a five-star guest experience to each of our guests in all aspects of the customer journey - including customer service/review sites. Cool place to gamble if you know your being set up you might hit it big but this casino takes the hapuse edge to another level. Bonus rounds are on every game I see set to pay out the minimum and sure there are always that one or two players who hit a good one but nothing close to Vegas good. That’s impossible I won in Vegas 8k on a quarter game and 21k on a $5 version so I’m not being critical I’m saying I have seen these games pay out ton of money just not at San Manuel. At San Manuel the biggest jackpot I have seen is 3k then my three wins were for $2,500 give or take a couple dollars but I have seen maybe ten hand pays on this game and every time they have been within $500 of each other. And on the dollars it is typically in the 5to12k. Typically I see the handpays on this game in the 3to5k on the 25 cent version. “Diamond Queen” now this game is notoriously difficult to get the bonus round I assume it is because the bonus round is a payday. San Manuel has tight slots, example I have won three handpays on a game I like a lot. Say what you want San Manuel but facts are your paying the customers back for all the years Indians were mistreated and good for you but at least own the tightness of your slots. ![]() But in Vegas for example I watch at least 4 to ten handpays an hour in the high limits and that’s on the low end. They’re winning but the players I watched the floor in the high limit room for over two hours while I played and not one hand pay did I see and this was at prime hours plenty of players I. But for the amount of machines and players I see come through the doors there is far more losing than winning and surely it’s gambling but when you gamble as much as I do it is easy to tell the difference and while they might be up to specs on the rules of what they have to pay out they are not even close to being a casino that is a winners place. A lot of little wins and every so often hear the bells ring for a jackpot over 10k. I usually win and have nothing but luck but my eyes and ears work good and what I see here is a lot of losing. My observation however is that the casino is tight. I have won every time I have been to this casino. but my luck isn’t the reason I am saying what I am saying. I have read the reviews and notice that the folks at San Manuel have their text book statements about hope your luck improves and so on etc. My reason is that this place is absolutely the tightest casino I have ever been in. Have been here about ten times now and thought I’d leave my first review ever of any casino I have ever played at. ![]()

![]() ![]() The exactness of his fine and analytic mind is reflected in the exquisite finish, the subtle wit, the delicate descriptive touches, that abound in his Quatrains. ![]() Strange to say, Omar was the greatest mathematician of his day. This sense of approaching Fate is never absent from him, even in his most genial moments and the strange fascination which he exercises over his readers is largely due to the thrilling sweetness of some passage which ends in a note of dejection and anguish. The keenness and intensity of this poet’s style seem to be inspired by an ever-present fear of death. But the prevailing note of his music is that of deep and settled melancholy, breaking out occasionally into words of misanthropy and despair. The feast, the revel, the joys of love, and the calm satisfaction of appetite make up the grosser elements in his song. The intoxication of wine and the bright eyes of lovely women are ever present to his mind. Omar’s bowers are always full of roses the notes of the nightingale tremble through his stanzas. There is in this volume all the gorgeousness of the East: all the luxury of the most refined civilization. For Omar, like Hбfiz, is one of the most Persian of Persian writers. Edward Fitzgerald’s version of the poem has provided one of the most masterly translations that was ever made from an Oriental classic. Yet there is so little of that lightness which should characterize an epigram that we can scarcely put Omar in the same category with Martial, and it is easy to understand why the author should have been contented to name his book the “Rubбiyбt,” or Quatrains, leaving it to each individual to make, if he chooses, a more definite description of the work. “The “Rubбiyбt” is a string of quatrains, each of which has all the complete and independent significance of an epigram. Re-mould it nearer to the Heart’s Desire!Ībout the Rubaiyat From the Introduction to this translation: To grasp this sorry Scheme of Things entire, 26, 1919 to Sept.\)Īh, Love! could you and I with Him conspire Robert Frost: Stopping by Desert Places.Harlan Ellison: Some comments about A Boy and His.The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam: Quatrain LXXIII.Spirit of Place: Letters and Essays on Travel Joseph Wood Krutch: Five Masters (a study in the mutation of the novel)Īlbert Camus: The Possessed (a play based on Dostoyevsky's novel)Īncient Empires Before Alexander, a Teaching Company set of lectures Jules Verne: Journey to the Center to the Earth Joseph Frank: Dostoyevsky: Seeds of Revolt It's just that we don't understand God who has made the universe as it is nor do we perceive the ultimate resolution of all that happens here.Īrthur C. Of course, the believer's answer is that there is nothing wrong with this world. The poet/narrator's evident displeasure with life here is evidenced by his characterization of life here as "this Sorry Scheme of Things" and wishes he were able to "shatter it to bits" given the opportunity and to then "Re-mould it nearer to the Heart's Desire." Is our future set even before we are born? Are we just puppets jerking about as the puppetmaster determines? This idea is also suggested in Quatrains XLIX, L, LI, and LIII What is most interesting is that God is now depicted as the supernatural power that decides what will happen to us, which, to me anyway, suggests predetermination or predestination-that God has already decided what our ultimate destiny will be, this logically happening even before our birth. All three religion portray God as male, as does the change from "Fate" to "Him." In the fifth edition, "Fate" becomes "Him," which clearly suggests the monotheistic deity of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. It's a supernatural power that determines what happens to us in the future. In the first and second editions, FitzGerald refers to Fate, a more generic term going back to classical times, and is frequently depicted as female. The most significant change occurs in the first line of the fifth edition. In the second edition, the poetic "thou" becomes the more informal "you," which FitzGerald keeps through the succeeding editions. The quatrain remains very stable throughout the five editions. "Ah, Love! could you and I with Him conspire Re-mould it nearer to the Heart's Desire!" "Ah, Love! could you and I with Fate conspire ![]() Re-mould it nearer to the Heart's Desire! "Ah, Love! could thou and I with Fate conspire It's a bit different from the others in that it expresses very strongly the poet/narrator's unhappiness with life as it is here on earth. This is the LXXIII quatrain, with only two more left in the first edition. ![]()

Divine office morning prayer audio7/20/2023 ![]() ![]() Even if I can't say the prayers when the bell chimes its sound throughout the day is a nice reminder to pray.Īnyway, if you're a busy, on the go kind of person, or simply struggle with the discipline of prayer, you might really like the Divine Office app. The Divine Office has been prayed for the Churchs entire existence, and its tradition. This function rings a bell on your phone, like text message alert, when it's time to say one of the Offices. Finally, I also like the notifications function, which can be customized. The app also includes a liturgical calender which is handy in finding dates for Holy Days and seasons. I've also been using the app a lot while walking the dog.īeyond the audio, the Divine Office app also gives you all the text for every prayer. I also listen to evening prayer on the way home from work. So on days when I can't sit down and read the Office before work I turn on the audio and listen to the prayers while getting ready and driving or riding my bike to work. The Divine Office app provides you with audio readings of all the prayers. But sometimes I just don't get up early enough to do this before I have to head off to work. ![]() The Gospel canticle acts as a kind of meditative extension of the scriptural proclamation in light of the Christ event. In the mornings I try to pray through the Office of Readings and Morning prayer. These each include a Gospel canticle: the Canticle of Zechariah from Luke 1:68-79 for Morning Prayer (known as the Benedictus ), and the Canticle of Mary from Luke 1:46-55 for Evening Prayer (known as the Magnificat ). Edrawings viewer measure disabled7/20/2023 ![]() Overall, I think we get some really strong improvements this year that can help make eDrawings more useful as a standalone viewing tool. Also, note that the ability to export to Web HTML is only available with eDrawings Professional. If you are trying to save a file that does not allow measurements, then this “Enable measure” option will not be available. To ensure your Web HTML file will allow measurements, you need to select “Enable measure” in the Save As dialog when you are exporting. This functionality exists for all three document types-part, assembly, and drawing. With the 2021 edition, we continue to gain new capabilities in the browser, as we can now use the Measure tool with. eDrawings 2020 introduced the ability to freely move the components of a Web HTML assembly around the graphics area. Users could launch these files in a browser and do things like rotate models, hide/show assembly components, and create section views. In its 2019 release, eDrawings started to allow users to save files in a Web HTML format (.html). The last enhancement I want to talk about applies to the Web HTML file type. The normal distance is given in the Measure pane (highlighted here by the orange box). In the second image, we can see that a planar-cylindrical face measurement does not include any flags. These values are also shown in the Measure pane on the lower-left side of the screen. In the first image, we can see that the cylindrical-cylindrical face measurement includes flags for the overall center-to-center distance and for the three components of the measurement. The images below illustrate these two measurement types. Additionally, depending on how the planar face is oriented relative to the axis, the minimum normal distance may not be to a point on the face itself but, rather, to a point out in space on the plane defined by the face. Since this is a normal distance, with the normal direction being defined by the planar face, it is just a projection of the distance between the entities. The planar-cylindrical face measurement returns the minimum normal distance between the planar face and the axis of the cylinder. Measuring between cylindrical faces, you can obtain the center-to-center, minimum, or maximum distance-similar to your options with the SOLIDWORKS Measure tool-and its X-, Y-, and Z-components. Measurements can now be made between cylindrical faces or between a planar face and a cylindrical face. You need to add a Display Data Mark to any inactive configurations that you want to be available within eDrawings.)Īnother eDrawings 2021 update expands the capabilities of the Measure tool. (As a reminder, opening a SOLIDWORKS model in eDrawings does not bring all of the configurations by default. In the image below, you can see the two configuration-specific properties I created for my “1-4 hole” configuration: Description and Weight. ![]() The popup lets you toggle between general custom properties and those specific to the current configuration. You can find the File Properties button at the bottom of the eDrawings 2021 window or in the Tools dropdown menu. ![]() Unlike mass properties, these file properties can only be seen with SOLIDWORKS files exporting a SOLIDWORKS model into an eDrawings format will not carry over the file properties. In this new release, you are also able to see any custom or configuration-specific file properties that were saved with the model. In earlier versions of the program, the only kind of properties you could see for a model were mass properties, and these were only accessible with eDrawings files. File PropertiesĪ major development in eDrawings 2021 is the addition of file properties. Of this year’s additions, I will focus on three, specifically in the areas of properties, measurement types, and Web HTML exports. With eDrawings 2021, they turned to some long-requested enhancements, providing major improvements to the core functionality of the program. Accompanied by some useful compatibility and performance improvements, the biggest attention-getter was the full release of the Virtual Reality functionality. ![]() This year was a pretty good release for eDrawings. ![]()
